French Language Debate: Near same substance very different optics

As far as content goes there was not much different between tonight’s debate in French and last night’s English language debate. The optics were quite different. Oddly Iggy looked and sounded better in French. He gaffed bad on Quebec sovereignty. Duceppe looked much better and was centre stage. Harper was thrown off his game and was so low key he perhaps self marginalized although towards the end he came back to life a bit. Layton delivered and I think probably did the best of three federalist leaders with Iggy close second (how big the gaff was remains to seen).
